Lots of dried fruit on the nose, from dates to figs and prunes, together with a hint of iodine-like character that adds a more bitter note. Full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and an intense core of dried fruit. A hint of pomegranate freshness. Lots of spice, too, driving the long, long finish. Tempting even now, but best from 2023, to allow the tannins to sink even further into the wine.

A compact red, this deftly knits fine-grained tannins and bright orange peel acidity with aromas and flavors of mulled cherry, mocha, dried sage, iron and spice box that expand on the satinlike palate. Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Best from 2023 through 2030. 2,000 cases made, 1,200 cases imported.
