Admirable for the intensity and focus to the ripe peach, marmalade and ripe melon flavors, with spices and toasted, salted hazelnut grace notes coming in midpalate. Shows a smooth, creamy body, with generous acidity and a hint of toasted marshmallow on the long, lingering finish. Drink now through 2029. 900 cases made.
Aromas of lemon grass, nutmeg and pink grapefruit. Medium-to full-bodied with a lovely core of apple and sliced pear. It fades slowly and elegantly through the finish. Harmonious feel to the palate. Drink or hold.
The 2020 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is much more reticent than the other Chardonnays in the Kistler portfolio this vintage, with flinty, stony notes on the nose. The medium-bodied palate is bright and silky, with lemon candy flavors, sweet spice accents and a long, gently textured finish.
