It's often said that pinot noir and red Burgundy smell of cherries, but its seldom as clearly obvious as in the nose of this wine. Good depth and freshness, the healthy tannin structure supporting the medium-bodied palate very well. Plenty of licorice, meaty and savory character at the long, moderately dry finish.
