The 2019 Bella Union Napa Valley Cabernet possesses beautiful and intriguing aromas of dark plum, black cherry, hints of clove and barrel spice. The palate is well-structured with velvety tannins complemented by generous layers of fruit flavors of blackberry, fig and raspberry preserves that give way to a melting finish.
A seductive style, with a creamy, polished feel to the mix of plum pâte de fruit, cassis and raspberry puree flavors, which have a subtle sheen of singed vanilla toast and light savory flecks through the finish. Drink now through 2032. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 10,300 cases made.
Aromas of dark plums, dark cherries, cloves, pine needles and sweet spices. Medium-bodied with firm tannins. Structured and chewy with a fruity, cherry-like finish. Drink from 2023.
