Supple, rich and plump with personality, this red offers an array of black raspberry, smoked meat, cracked pepper and black olive flavors that race toward the zesty finish. A composition of 48% Syrah, 16% Grenache, 14% Mourvèdre, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petite Verdot, 4% Petite Sirah and 2% Zinfandel, the 2020 Beautiful Earth Red has a deep ruby-purple color, and the nose is bursting with boysenberries, black cherries, iron and Earl Grey tea leaves, plus slowly opening accents of charcuterie and peppercorn. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated, broody fruit, grainy tannins, plenty of refreshing acidity and a long, layered finish. 1,474 cases were made.
