Fragrant nose of blackcurrants, dried blueberries, lavender, bark, graphite and cloves. It’s medium-bodied with firm, velvety tannins. Perfumed, with lovely varietal character. Fresh and focused. Sustainable. Better from 2024.
It seems like Cabernet Sauvignon from warmer years is more sensitive to oak, and the 2020 Appellation Agrelo Cabernet Sauvignon shows some toast and sweet spice, and the fruit was ripe, black rather than red, and there is a notable absence of herbal aromas. It's juicy and round, approachable and easy to drink. 60,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in October and November 2020.
