Shipping & Delivery Policy
Welcome to Varmax Liquor Pantry. We strive to provide a seamless shopping experience from our shelves to your doorstep. Please review our shipping and delivery guidelines below to ensure a smooth transition for your order.
By placing an order for shipping, you (the "Buyer") authorize Varmax Liquor Pantry to engage a third-party common carrier or third-party logistics company to deliver your order. We make no representation as to the legal right of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state; the Buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and is responsible for any taxes or fees required by their local municipality. Title to all spirits and wine passes from Varmax Liquor Pantry to the Buyer in the State of New York at the time of purchase.
- Age Requirement & Legal Verification
In compliance with federal and state laws, you must be at least 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages.
- Adult Signature Required: All deliveries containing alcohol require the signature of an adult (21+) with a valid government-issued photo ID.
- No "Leave at Door": Our couriers are legally prohibited from leaving packages unattended. If no adult is present, the package will be returned to the local hub for a second delivery attempt or held for pickup.
- Local Delivery & In-Store Pickup
For our neighbors in the surrounding area, we offer convenient local options:
- Local Delivery: Varmax Liquor Pantry offers our own local deliveries Monday through Friday with a $150 pre-tax minimum. Orders must be placed by 11:00am to guarantee same day delivery, though feel free to contact us to see if you can be added on to that days schedule if you're placing your order after 11am. Eligible zip codes are: 10573, 10604, 10577, 10580, 10543, 10538, 10801, 10805, 10803, 10804, 10709, 10707, 10583, 10605, 10528, 10606, 10603, 10601, 06807, 06830, 06831, 06836, 06870, 06878
For certain zip codes in Westchester we can provide delivery through Uber eats 7 days per week during business hours for all orders, even those below our delivery minimum, with a $10 fee.
- Curbside & In-Store Pickup: Always Free. Simply select "In-Store Pickup" at checkout. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready.
- Shipping
To ensure your order is handled with the technical expertise required for alcoholic beverages, we partner with specialized third party logistics providers. Our logistics provider selects the most efficient common carrier (FedEx, UPS, or a Regional Carrier depending on your location) to complete the final leg of your delivery. By placing an order, you are authorizing Varmax Liquor Pantry to engage this third-party provider to act as your agent. Ownership (Title) of the product passes to you, the buyer, at the time the order is processed at the fulfillment center.
- States where we can engage shipping on your behalf with our third party provider can change often. We try to stay as up to date as possible. Currently, wine is able to be shipped to: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA (no spirits), MA, MD, MN, MT (no spirits), NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY (no spirits)
- Shipping Methods & Rates
We partner with common carriers and third party logistics companies to provide reliable shipping. Rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of the order and the destination ZIP code.
- Ground Shipping: Typically 3–7 business days depending on distance.
- Express Shipping: Overnight, 2 Day and 3 Day shipping options are available for those who need their spirits sooner.
For some states and zip codes our logisitcs provider uses regional carriers. These carriers can take much longer than UPS or FedEx to deliver your product - up to 3 weeks in some cases. Please check with us before placing an order if you have any questions
Shipping Restrictions & Weather
- Weather Delays: Extreme heat or cold can damage fine wine and spirits. Please inform us if you would like us to hold your shipment until a future date.
5. Returns & Damaged Goods
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives broken, please take a photo immediately and contact our customer service team at info@varmax.com within 24 hours.
- Returns: Per New York State law, alcoholic beverages cannot be returned once they have left the premises.
