Composed of 80% Shiraz and 20% Petite Sirah, the 2009 Proprietary Red reveals a very deep purple-black color and aromas of black cherry compote, warm blackberries and mulberries over hints of dark chocolate, yeast extract, Indian spices and black olives. Full bodied with a wonderful concentration of muscular black fruit and savory flavors, it has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and crisp acid, finishing with a great persistence of pure blackberry flavors with some earthiness coming through. Approachable now, it should drink best 2013 to 2022+.
