Villadoria Barolo 2007

Rated 92 Points by the Wine Spectator

Although Villadoria did not begin as a brand until 1959, proprieter Daniele Lanzevecchia's love of the vine began in 1950 with a vine cutting nursery. Vineyards were then bought in the Serralunga d'Alba region of Piedmont, right in the heard of the Barolo producing zone, and in 1964 the winery in Serralunga d'Alba was opened. Today, there are two wineries and lots of vineyard land in and around Serralunga d'Alba.

Still a family run and managed winery, the Lanzavecchia family's 2007 release of their Barolo garnered a wonderful 92 Point rating that will be featured in next month's edition of the Wine Spectator.

Rated 92 Points by the Wine Spectator - "Fresh and plump, with juicy flavors of cherry, raspberry, licorice, menthol and oak spice. The oak doesn’t
intrude, and this ends with an aftertaste of black cherry, tar and mineral notes. Best from 2014 through 2027."

This lovely Barolo with the wonderful 92 Point rating has a terrific price (especially when compared to other Barolo) of $26.99 per bottle! A great value for this delicious and ageworthy wine!

Please feel free to call or email with any questions.

Cheers!
