Arrowood Winery tends to pop up in our newsletters a few times throughout the year. Offering consistently great quality, along with excellent ratings in the press, Arrowood's wines always overdeliver for their prices.
Today's wine, a homerun at $29.99, is the Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon 2007. Many of you are aware that 2007 was an excellent vintage in both Napa and Sonoma, producing wines with lush fruit, great structure, and usually the ability to age. To put the icing on the cake, this wine was also rated 90 Points by Robert Parker in the Wine Advocate.
The description that Robert Parker gives in his write-up says it all for me, and makes me want to open one of these bottles up right now!
Wine Advocate Rated 90 Points - "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma includes fruit from the famed Monte Rosso Vineyard. Aged in a combination of French and American oak for two years prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is an outstanding Cabernet boasting a deep ruby/purple color along with copious aromas of creme de cassis, graphite and spice box. Full-bodied with supple tannins, a generous, even corpulent mouthfeel and a long finish, it should drink well for a decade."
How can you argue with words like that? Take a bottle of this delicious wine home today, and I'm sure you'll be back for more!
Cheers!
